There are 4 public ethernet connections in the atrium of the Davenport Building, that are now available to users with laptop or notebook computers.

The standard wall mounted RJ-45 connectors are labeled as 1, 2, 3 and 4.

To connect, you have to have a straight twisted pair (RJ-45) patch cable, available for about $5 in any computer store. We do not provide or rent cables.

You will also have to configure your computer as follows:

Name:atrium0-1n
IP address:192.168.0.1n
(where 'n' is the connector label number)
Domain:internal.atrium
Mask:255.255.255.0
Gateway:192.168.0.1
Primary DNS:142.150.224.224
Secondary DNS:142.150.224.6

The server's security is set up in such a way, that it will not allow connection of any misconfigured machine, therefore you have to follow these settings precisely.

Once you have set up your computer and connected it via the patch cable, you will have a full access to the Internet.
