Undergraduate Summer Fellowships Program
Department of Chemistry

University of Toronto

This program is geared to students in their 2nd and 3rd year of undergraduate studies in one of the Chemistry specialist or related programs. Female undergraduate students are strongly encouraged to apply. Outstanding 1st year students may be considered but only for OSOTF Awards.

NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Awards

To be eligible for consideration for NSERC awards, a student must

    • have maintained at least a ‘B’ average; first year students are excluded from this competition due to the challenges in confirming eligible cumulative averages before the awards are taken up.
    • be registered as a full-time student in the natural sciences, and
    • be Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.

OSOTF Awards

These OSOTF awards are intended for UofT students only (including first year) who can demonstrate financial need by receiving OSAP during the current year. Please refer to the Faculty of Arts and Science Scholarships and Financial Aid  for further information on these awards and on eligibility requirements.
